Can't catch me I'm in the middle school running club, and I have mad running skillz. Ok, so maybe she isn't the gingerbread man, and I doubt she'll be breaking any 5k records in the near future, but Leslee-Kate participated in her second 5k last Saturday.
She is part of the running club at her middle school, and each "semester" they train for and participate in a local 5k race. She and the boys participated in this last year at their elementary school, and we are looking forward to the spring when they will all be involved once again. We think that this a great outlet for our children to develop their talents, as well as see how great it is when you set a goal and accomplish it.
The mama also thinks that it is pretty sweet that for two days each week, she gets an extra hour to breathe before the kiddos get home! Win-win if you ask me!
